On a hot summer day, during a family get-together, the employees of Zodiac, the manufacturer of boats of the same name, were looking for an idea to keep their children cool and entertained during the event. They thought of filling their largest unsinkable boat with water... Zodiac pools were born.
The manufacture of Zodiac pools was carried out in Toulouse (France), before being transferred to Buhl in Alsace (France)... where they are still produced today.
The Zodiac Original business became part of CF group in 2013, Europe's second-largest manufacturer and distributor of equipment for private and public swimming pools. A family-owned group with a European dimension, CF group is present in over 40 countries, mainly in Europe, offering its customers a wide range of complementary products and equipment, from pool installation and renovation to maintenance and general well-being.
Since 2026, the production and marketing of Zodiac Original has been delegated to the company "Alsace (France) Fabrication," still at the same French site in Buhl (68).
